The Missing pHuzzle Piece 3 CEU
Do you ever have the patient that appears to be doing everything right with their homecare, but can’t escape the cycle of decay? Or the patient that proudly admits their lack of home dental care, but always seems to be healthy? Sometimes, looking in the mouth you can tell things just don’t make sense, but why? These patients are in our presence every single day, and while something just doesn't add up, it can be difficult to understand exactly what is happening, why it's happening, or how to address it. This course will evaluate these situation and how oral pH plays a major role, but is most often the missing puzzle piece. Learn how to approach creating a change, which involves a paradigm shift from our traditional 'brush more, floss more, use more fluoride' type of thinking. Are you ready to discover the missing pHuzzle piece? Objectives: ● Understand oral pH and its' range of effects on the oral cavity as well as the implementation of pH testing ● Learn about Salivary buffer capacity and its important role alongside oral pH ● Identify oral conditions that relate to imbalances in oral pH and individualize care for the patient to promote healthy pH, buffer capacity, and remineralization ● Define oral dysbiosis and symbiosis ● Review how certain dental products could contribute to an imbalance in oral pH, while others can support a healthier oral pH |

That's Not What I Learned in School 2.0! 2 CEU
Did you learn that floss is the magic elixir preventing everything from caries to bone loss? Or perhaps you are still providing ‘routine care’ – such as prophys, fluoride treatments, and radiographs. While education provides the foundation, it depreciates over time as new research, therapies, and treatments emerge. This course will empower you to move out of your comfort zone and feel confident adopting new evidence-based strategies for everyday patient care. |
Thank you for your continued support! We look forward to seeing you at our next CE Event!
